This Aged Care development will be an iconic addition to the Hornsby skyline when completed in 2023.
Comprising two separate structures, one a 12-storey reinforced concrete (RC) framed and the other an attached 9-storey stack of modular containers.
The ground floorplate covers an area of 900sqm with the central core lift shaft providing structural lateral stability. Three basement carparking levels provide 90 car spaces.
Springing off the second-floor transfer slab is nine stories of stacked prefabricated modular containers, ninety in total. Each module is a steel sheeted ‘fire rated box’ 11.3 x 4.3m.
Construction will be staged and consist of the excavation and shoring, construction of RC frame basement levels up to level two transfer slab, install of floor plate modules in tandem with construction of RC floor plates. MAJCON have been engaged to provide all structural and civil engineering services through design to site inspection certification, including storm water drainage and WSUD.
