Remedial Principal Engineer / Technical Director

Due to the recent significant growth and expansion within our Remedial Project Management section, an opportunity exists for a Remedial Principal Engineer / Technical Director.

You will be expected to lead the Remedial Project Management team reporting directly to the Managing Director on projects for MAJCON’s existing and new clients and grow the business using your own drive and entrepreneurial skills in conjunction with the MD.

This role would be for a suitably experienced Senior / Associate level Project Manager / Remedial Engineer with energy to direct the future growth of the business.

You will be supported in your new role by remedial and structural engineers and the management team with encouragement to develop your business and procurement skills.

The fundamentals of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Direct and grow MAJCON’s Building Diagnostic Remedial section.

  • Ensure excellent client service and client satisfaction with the business development.

  • Deliver multiple projects concurrently in an efficient, qualitive and cost-effective process.

  • Supervise and mentor engineers / project managers within the company.

  • Diagnostic and feasibility report writing.

  • Superintendent’s Representative role with Contract Administration.

About you

We are therefore seeking applicants with the following attributes:

  • A ‘lead by example manner’ to the supporting team members whilst also directing to collaboratively achieve the set KPI’s across the business platform.

  • Perform with minimal supervision from the business owner whilst being highly productive with the tasks at hand.

  • In depth understanding of Contract Administration and the implementation of Building Contracts Australian Standards, Building Authority Regulations in the role of the Superintendent’s Representative.

  • Proven ability and in-depth knowledge of diagnostic remedial engineering especially with diagnostic and specification of waterproofing solutions to complex defects.

  • Excellent communication skills; able to speak and write clearly, present to team members and clients concisely and effectively.

  • Overcome challenges and obstacles by creative problem-solving skills.
