This 4-storey building is a commercial and residential development consisting of a large 1 bedroom plus study penthouse which has exclusive use of the rooftop BBQ areas and 1 bedroom studio boutique accommodation.
The stabilisation of the side boundaries were achieved by contiguous piles along the three retained boundaries.
As ground anchors were not permitted by neighbours, the shoring system was achieved by propping below the ground transfer slab across the full width of the site with a layout of 500mm diameter circular steel tubes to prevent deflection of the capping.
For the basement construction ground anchors were precluded and so the alternative shoring of the contiguous piled walls adopted propping below the ground transfer slab across the full width of the site with a layout of 500mm diameter circular steel tubes to prevent deflection of the capping beam.
